Saturday, two railway service linesmen travelling on si motor trolley, received injuries necessitating their removal to hospital, They were: — Mr Frederick William Lucas, single aged 41, Kaitoke, scal|> wound.- and head injuries. Mr Patrick Brosnahan. single, aged 2£‘, Kaitoke fractured right leg and scalp wounds, The men were struck by a special train which had left The Summit at j. 55 p.m. with passengers who were being taken buck to Featherston fol-• lowing the blocking of the line nt Cross Creek by the derailment of ;m tmgim) tender.
