GREEK PROGRESS
IN SOUTH AND CENTRAL SECTORS VILLAGE TAKEN ON APPROACH TO BERAT. TROOPS NIBBLING THEIR WAY FORWARD. (Received This Day. 9 a.m.) LONDON. January 3. Military aulhorites said the Greeks have advanced in the southern sector and crossed the River Bence, the advance being continued for three miles ami the Greeks capturing 12 guns, 20 machine-guns and 500 prisoners. The authorities added that: “The Greks are continuing to nibble their
way forward in the central sector, where they have occupied the village of Dobrenje. about 18 miles south-east of Berat, and said the Italians are inactive in Libya.
