CYCLIST DIES FROM INJURIES TRAGEDY AT NAPIER. (By Telegraph-Press Association.) a n- • NAPIER. December 30. A collision between a bicycle and a train at a Napier level crossing resulted in the cyclist receiving extensive injuries from which he later died was: — * Mr. Eli Astwood, aged 50, carpenter Greenmeadows. ’ The rear of the cycle was struck bv the train, Mr. Astwood being thrown /clear of the track. The train was brought to a standstill and several nurses and a soldier who were passengers gave first-aid till he was removed to hospital in an ambulance. '
