WEDDING

HENDERSON—WYETH. A quiet but pretty wedding was celebrated at Knox Church, Masterton, last Saturday afternoon, when Nola Phoebe, only daughter of Mr and Mrs A. G. Wyeth, Gladstone, was married to Sydney Thomas, eldest son of Mr and Mrs H. T. Henderson, Te Whiti.

The bride, wl?o was escorted by her father, was attired in a smart moonlight blue frock, with contrasting wine coloured accessories. Her beautiful bouquet was of deep pink roses, sweet peas and maidenhair fern. In attendance as bridesmaid was Miss Dolina Baird, who wore an orchid frock with a hat of a deeper shade, and carried a trailing bouquet of stocks and sweet peas to tone. The bouquets were the gift of the bride's aunt, Mrs Tankersley. Private Edgar Henderson acted as best man.

The reception, which was attended by close relatives only, was held at the Empire Hotel, Masterton. The bride’s mother received the guests, wearing a frock of plum shade with navy accessories and carrying a bouquet to tone. The bridegroom’s mother was attired in a floral frock with navy hat and coat, and wore a shoulder spray. The Rev. J. Davie proposed the health of the bride and bridegroom. ’■ Later Mr and Mrs Henderson left on their honeymoon, the bride wearing a coat and turban to match her frock.
