SCHOOL ASSOCIATION CHRISTMAS EUCHRE PARTY. (“Times-Age" Special.) There was a record attendance at the Home and School Association Christmas euchre tournament held on Monday night. The winners were:— Ladies, Mrs G. Burt 1, Mrs Neilson 2, Mrs Kinsey 3. Men: .Mr Perry 1, Miss Nix 2, Mrs Fuge 3. The winners of the competitions were: Cake, Mrs Knapp; pair of fowls, Mrs A. W. Higginson; dish, Mrs McClaren; aggregate prizes, Miss Nix and Mr Dick Holland. CARDS AND DANCE GATHERING AT KAHUTARA.. A good attendance was recorded at the Christmas euchre party and dance held in the Kahutara Hall on Saturday night. The prize-winners were: Ladies, Mrs A. Gain 1, Mrs Fenwick 2, Mrs 'Kinsey 3, Mrs H. Williams 4. Men: Mr Anderson 1, Mr C. McArdle 2. W. Sinclair 3, N. Burt 4. Personal Items. Sapper J. W. Bargh, of Papakura Camp, is home on leave for the Christmas holidays. Mr and Mrs Forsyth, Miss Holmes and Miss Morrison, Wellington, are guests of Mrs L. McKenna. Mrs P. Bennett, New Plymouth ,is the guest of Mrs Chas. Elgar, “Fernside.” Christmas Trade Good. The colouried lights across the streets give the town a festive appearance. Shopkeepers report that Christmas trade is good.
