FEATHERSTON

SUCCESSFUL DANCE HELD BY SWIMMING CLUB. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Featherston Swimming Club held a successful dance in the Arizac Hall on Saturday night. Mrs Moran supplied the music and Mr Chas. Buck was M.C. The Monte Carlo competition was won by Mr W. McNamara and Miss Shepherd and the Lucky Spot by Miss Jensen and her partner. The ladies’ committee provided supper. A competition for a box of chocolates was won by Miss Card. Children’s Party. The children of the district were entertained at a Christmas party in the Pahautea Hall on Saturday night, when' a very happy time was spent. The arrival of Father Christmas caused great excitement. He had a busy time distributing, prizes, fruit and sweets. The music for the dancing was supplied by Mrs Connell and Mr D. Sutherland, extras being played by Messrs D. Fenwick and Ruku. Mr Corlet was M.C. A cake was raffled and was won by Mr Dick Fenwick.
