OTAKI MEETING
CHIEF EVENT TO LITTLE ROBIN. SIR CRUSOE ACCOUNTS FOR SPRINT. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) OTAKI, December 15. At the Otaki Maori Racing Club’s meeting on Saturday it was obvious that the proximity of the Christmas and New Year carnival affected the attendance and the betting turnover. The fields also were hardly up to standard. Four only ran in the principal event, and only three races out of the eight were contested by sufficient runners to provide three dividends on the place machine. The track was firm and fast. The totalisator turnover was £16,150, against £20,230 last year, when the meeting was held in November. The decrease was £4OBO. Results: — Puketoi Hack Hurdles, l|m: 7/6
