JOINING THE R.A.F.

VETERAN EUROPEAN PILOTS. SWIFT TRAINING PROGRESS. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, December 12. An increasing number of Poles. Czechs, Frenchmen and Belgians are finishing their training on British types of aircraft and beginning to take part in air fighting. Thev arc generally veterans compared with R.A.F. fighter pilots. The average age is from 25 to 28. Many have had long service in commercial flying and also fought with distinction in Poland and France. Their instructors, senior British officers, have been astonished at their swift progress.
