WOMEN’S DIVISION

MEETING AT TIRAUMEA. COMPETITION WINNERS. (“Times-Age” Special.) At the monthly meeting of the Tiraumea branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union, the was a good attendance. The president, Mrs. A. C. P. Hay, was in the chair. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mrs. M. Robbie and Mrs. H. McManaway. All those present took part in impromptu speeches which proved very entertaining. The wandering shilling competition was won by Mrs. G. Laing, and the best bloom competition won by Mrs. A. J. Jewitt. Mrs. G. Laing sang a song which was much appreciated, and was encored.
