OBITUARY

MR CHARLES JOHN POLSON. The death occurred in Masterton this morning of Mr Charles John Polson, an old and respected resident of the Wairarapa. The late Mr Polson, who was well known in the Greytown district, was born in Sweden 67 years ago and came to New Zealand when he was two years old. He farmed a property at Morison’s Bush, retiring to live in Masterton 17 years ago. He had been actively associated with the Odd Fellows’ Lodge and had been a member for over 50 years. He was also a member of the Greytown Masonic Lodge and a life member of the Workmen's Club, Greytown. He is survived by a widow and two daughters, also a sister in Greytown. One daughter predeceased him five years ago. The funeral will take place tomorrow. leaving the residence, 71 Bannister Street, following a service at 1 p.m. for the Masterton Cemetery.
