Prices were fully maintained in all sections. Fat sheep: All the mutton yarded was of good medium quality, but the supply was barely sufficient to meet the demand. The first of new season’s lambs sold readily. Prime hoggets made 225. 10d„ light 20s. Id.; extra prime wethers 265. Id. to 295. 4d., medium prime 235. 7d. to 245. Id., light 21s. Id. to 225.; extra prime ewes 19s. Id., prime 15s. 4d. to 17s. 10d., light and unfinished Bs. 4d. to 14s. 10d.; spring lambs, 245. 6d. Store sheep; Only a few pens were available, prices showing no change. Best two-tooth ewes sold for 28s. 3d., smaller 275.; medium two-tooth wethers 18s. to 18s. Bd.

Store cattle: A fair supply of station stock was on offer and met with a steady demand. Good quality young cattle were wanted, and for these prices showed an advance.
