VETERAN COLONIAL ADMINISTRATOR FORMER HIGH COMMISSIONER IN CAMEROONS. GREAT HELP TO FREE FRANCE. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 11.50 a.m.) RUGBY, becember 6. The Free French Forces Headquarters have announced that M. Richard Brunot, who was High Commissioner in the Cameroons at the time of the French-German armistice, and who immediately took steps to continue the war against Germany, has just arrived iii London. M. Brunot, who has been in the colonial service in French West Africa for the last Thirty-six years, has offered his services to General De Gaulle. He has been put in charge of the colonial section of Free French Headquarters. After serving in various outposts where he has been in close contact with the native population, M. Brunot occupied important posts in French West Africa, Equatorial Africa and the Cameroons. The intimate knowledge of colonial problems and the prestige which M. Brunot enjoys with the European and native populations of Africa will be a great help to Free Frahce.
