£1,000,000 APPEAL
PROVINCIAL PATRIOTIC FUND. GALA DAY IN PARK TOMORROW. All arrangements are completed for the great gala day at the Pafk tomorrow in aid of the £1,000,000 Patriotic Appeal Fund, but more parcels for prizes and mystery packets would be acceptable. The committee want mothers and fathers there to boost the gathering as well as to see the fun which starts at 2.15 p.m. ' Attend our party at the Park And help the Children's Fair, To swell the funds for soldiers' needs Be there without a care. Cash prizes will be given out For decorated bikes, ' For prams, for carts, for fancy dress As well as John Bull trikes. Processions will create a stir, Amusements too there’ll be— The peanutman, Pet’s race, “Popeye” Nut runners too, you’ll see. Sixpence for Ma, sixpence for Pa, Threepence for children all December 7th is the day, So don’t forget the call. Entries will be accepted at the Park. Mystery parcels, lucky dips and other attractive features promise to be popular. Primary and secondary school children will also give displays.
