CRICKET
MEETING OF.WAIRARAPA ASSOCIATION. MATCHES AT CHRISTMAS. A meeting of the-Management Committee of the Wairarapa Cricket Association was held last night. There were present Messrs E. S. Smith (chairman). G. Barr. W. Whiteman, J. McGill. A. L. Patterson, and the secretary (Mr G. B. Peterson). The secretary was instructed to inquire from the Hawke’s Bay Association as to whether it would be sending representative teams at Christmas. It was decided that the second day’s in the Red Star v Old Boys match befplayed at the Park Oval. On Saturday, December 21, a match was arranged between last years senior champions, Red Star v The Rest, the game to be played at the Park Oval. The senior selector asked for the names of players available for the Christmas match. UMPIRES FOR SATURDAY. The following are the umpires for the senior cricket matches on SaturCollege v Lansdowne, at tne College, Messrs Dohnt and Coleman. Red Star v Old Boys, Messrs A. Styles and Phillpotts.
