NAVAL SAFEGUARD
CHECK UP AT SYDNEY HEADS. PORT TEMPORARILY CLOSED. (By Telegraph—Press Associaiton— Copyright) (Received This Day, 9.40 a.m.) CANBERRA, This Day. The Minister of the Navy, Mr. W. M. Hughes, stated at Canberra last night that as a safety measure the Naval Board had deemed it necessary to have a check up of the channel at Sydney Heads, which involved sailings being prohibited. Mr. Hughes said this was a temporary measure and that noima. traffic was now proceeding.
