FOLK DANCE GROUP
COURSE OF INSTRUCTION. ENJOYED BY MEMBERS. At the conclusion of a course in folk dancing, held under the auspices of the Physical Welfare and Recreation Department, Miss Noeline Thomson was informally entertained at a supper party by members of the class. This class, which was commenced in May, has been of service to thirty members. A varied selection of .folk dances was taught, all of them new to Masterton. These included Dutch, Bavarian, Estonian, Danish, English and Scottish dances. The classes were thoroughly enjoyed by all the- members. It is hoped that, when they resume early next winter, that many more women will join and benefit by a type of exercise that is extremely beneficial and most enjoyable without being too strenuous. The group has already made a donation to the Patriotic Fund, and is now in the pleasant position of being able to make a further donation of £2 14s 6d to the fund.
