RESIGNATION HANDED IN ON NOVEMBER 6. MAY CARRY ON TEMPORARILY. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WASHINGTON. December 1. The Ambassador to Britain Mr. J. P. Kennedy, submitted his resignation on November 6, but during a conference with President Roosevelt today he offered to continue at his post till the President could make a leisurely selection of his successor. Mr. J. P. Kennedy is quoted as saying: “After a short holiday I plan’ to devote my efforts to what seems to me the greatest cause in the world today —to help the President to keep the United States out of war.” He expected to work as an individual and not to retain any official post.
