(Notes by "The Bowler.”) It was most pleasing to see so many bowlers present on the Mastertcn Club’s greens on Saturday afternoon last, both greens being occupied. The first round of the champion singles and champion pairs must be completed by Saturday next, and I understand that no extension of t : me will be given. I was disappointed that so few players took the opportunity of playing off some of their games on Saturday. The draw sheets are put up in the pavilion, and I must congratulate Mr Hendry on the neat appearance of the sheets, and the plain and legible manner in which the names and the ciraw are shown. The results of the competitions played during last week are as follows: Champion Singles. W. Christian beat A. Henderson; J. Finlayson beat F. Evans; A. Stubbings beat J. Gordon; G. Hayne beat W. Davies.

Champion Pairs. H. Thomas and J. Campbell beat A. Stubbings and E. Reid: F. Mills and W. Reid beat J. Hunter and F. Evans. Colts. Holdsworth (4) beat Haarle (scr). I desire to remind bowlers that on Saturday afternoons the entries for the club foul's must be put into the box by not later than 1.15 o’clock. If abowler is unable to be on the green by 1.15 o’clock he can ring up the club and his entry will be accepted. Club Fours. Blane. Hyde. Doughty. Carstens boat Denbee. Reynolds. A. Hendry, F.
