OPAKI
COOPER’S BARN DANCE COMPETITION WINNERS. (“Times-Age” Special.) There was a large attendance at a dance held at Cooper’s Barn, Opaki, on Saturday night. Visitors were present from all parts of the district. The floor was in excellent order and all present passed a pleasant time. The music was supplied by Messrs Jack Barnes and W. Ashworth, and extras were played by Misses M. Lee (Greytown) and M. Herrick (Carterton), and Mr H. Hiecks (Wellington). Monte Carlo waltz competitions were won by Miss M. Walker and Mr L. E. Deane, and Miss J. Olsen and Mr C. Walker. The duties of M.C. were carried out by Mr W. Cooper. A savoury supper was served. The next dance’ will be held on December 14.
