OTHER PEOPLE’S IDEAS
LAND SETTLEMENT (To the Editor.) Sir, —As my questions as to the settling of both Maori and pakeha under State control have never been answered I take it as a courteous way not to ask questions while the business is proceeding. Now the proceedings are over, so far as this soldiers' Land Bill is concerned, I am going to make a suggestion —that a block of this land be set aside for unreturned M.’sP., as quite a lot of them will be looking for snips shortly. I also think that those M.’sP. not returned should be placed on the land on the same terms as the returned soldier —equality for all. —I am, etc.. H. PRESTON. Masterton, December 1.
