WIN FOR TRENCH FIGHT. SCHOOLGIRL SUCCESSFUL. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) ASHBURTON, November 30. The Ashburton Racing Club’s summer meeting was held in threatening, but cool weather. The attendance was very good, considering the conditions and the track was in excellent order. The totalisator handled £14,372 10s, compared with £12,844 last year. Trench Fight had a very easy win in the Tinwald Handicap and Schoolgirl recorded just as easy a win in the Waikanui Handicap. King's Toast had to come from the rear to win the Highweight, and finished brilliantly.
