BOROUGH WATER SUPPLY

> LOW PRESSURE RECORDED. AN APPEAL BY ENGINEER. Mr C. R. Mabson, borough engineer, in conversation with a “Times-Age" representative today stated that the water pressure in the borough was very low in several areas as the result of the work which was being ’carried out in connection with the relining of Ihe pipes. The work down to Kibblewhite Road would be completed in a few days, after which the pressure should improve. He appealed to residents to use the water with discretion as in some parts of the borough—the high levels at Lansdowne and in the vicinity of Solway College—there was very little water obtainable. The borough authorities would appreciate it very much if residents ceased watering their gardens each night at 8 o'clock and in other directions conserved the water as much as possible until the relining of the pipes had been completed.
