TOWNSWOMEN’S GUILD

SINGING CIRCLE. FINAL MEETING OF THE YEAR. The Singing Circle of the Townswomen's Guild held its final meeting for the year at the home of Mrs Jarvis. Opaki Road, last evening. Several items given by members of the Circle were much appreciated. Christmas carols were the feature of the programme. On behalf of the Circle, Mrs Bennett, president of the Guild, expressed thanks to Miss D. O’Donnell for the work she had done during the year as leader of the Circle, and presented her with a beautiful posy. Very pretty posies were also presented to Mrs Bennett, pianist. Miss I. Johnson, assistant pianist, and Miss J. Wiltshire, secretary. Supper was served by the hostesses of the evening. The meeting closed with the singing of “Auld Lang Syne.”
