WEDDING

MORRIS—BANKS. The wedding took place on Wednesday at the residence of the bride's parents, Mr and Mrs Robert Banks, of Anderson's Line. Carterton, of their only daughter. Marjorie Kathleen, to Private Hector Ross, second son of Mr and Mrs W. H. Morris, of Brooklyn Road, Carterton. The bride, who looked charming, was escorted by her father. She was attired in an ensemble of dusky pink tree-spun silk, carried a beautiful bouquet of pink carnations and roses, and wore matching flowers in her hair. Miss Noline 'Wadsworth, of Auckland. cousin of the bride, was cnief bridesmaid, and was dressed in a frock of capri blue corded silk, embroidered in white. Miss Freda Eagle, who also attended the bride, wore a frock of electric blue tree-spun silk. Both carried bouquets to match their frocks and wore flowers in their hair. Mr George Morris attended his brother as best man, and Mr M. Banks, brother of the bride, was’groomsman. The Rev. W. F. Stent, Vicar of St. Mark’s Anglican Church, was the ot’iciating clergyman. A reception was held afterwards in the Clareville Hall, where a large number of friends and relatives sat down to the wedding breakfast. The bride's mother received the guests wearing a black and white georgette frock and black lace coatee. The bridegroom’s mother was attired in a navy and white ensemble. The usual toasts were honoured.
