ROTARY CLUB

VISITORS FROM WELLINGTON. WELCOMED BY PRESIDENT. Today was a notable day in the history of the Masterton Rotary Club when members of the Wellington Club paid their annual visit and were guests at the local club's weekly meeting. The president, Mr P. F. Fagan, was in the chair. Mr Fagan extended a warm welcome to the Wellington members and also to members of the stall of Solway College and the prefects, who were present. The speaker for the day was Mr G. A. Glennie, of the Canadian Pacific Railway staff, Wellington, who spoke on his recent tour of the East. Mr Glennie received an attentive hearing and on the motion of Mr E. M. Hodder was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for his interesting address. Included in the many visitors present were the following members of the Wellington Club: Messrs F. R. Jones (president), D. H. Taylor (secretary), A. A. Cramond (vice-president), the Rev. E. O. Blamires, Miss F. M. Low (executive secretary), Messrs C. C. Odlin. W. H. Preston. R. Huon, H. G. Mayer, J. W. Collins. G. A. Glennie. A. R. Christianson. J. Walmslay, A. H. M. Wright. W. McLay. J. W. Penman, E. C. McGee, S. W. Peterson. Messrs C. T. Ronaldson (past district governor), Christchurch, J. Forsyth. Wellington, and Misses Franklin and Stevens’ were also among the guests.
