AIR CASUALTIES
OFFICERS KILLED & MISSING. The following casualties to New Zealand airmen were officially announced yesterday:— Pilot Officer John Charles Mallon, previously reported missing, and later reported to be a prisoner of war and wounded, is now reported to have been shot down on October 8 and buried in Guines Cemetery, France. His father is Mr A. Mallon, Bell Block, New Plymouth. Pilot Officer Brian Henry Herrick, missing on air operations. His father is Mr E. J. Herrick, Lindisfarne, Hastings.
