TARGETS OF RECENT NAZI RAIDS MANY NOTED BUILDINGS DAMAGED. FIRES QUICKLY CONTROLLED. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, November 27. It is now revealed that Birmingham. Southampton, and Bristol were recently bombed. Many noted buildings in Birmingham were severely damaged, including the Art Gallery, and an arcade of shops in the centre of the city was wrecked. The raid on Bristol was also severe, but nowhere as heavy as that on Coventry earlier. Shops and old buildings in Bristol suffered chiefly, and also churches and cinemas. There were many fires in all three cities, but they were quickly controlled. Six firemen were killed in Southampton, on which thousands of incendiary bombs were dropped.

QUIET NIGHT FEW ENEMY RAIDS ON BRITAIN. LITTLE DAMAGE & FEW CASUALTIES. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 9.5 a.m.) RUGBY, November 27. There, was little enemy air activity over Britain for several hours after nightfall, and a long lull until shortly before daybreak. WORKMEN EXTINGUISH FIRES. (Received This Day. 9.5 a.m.) LONDON, November 27. A raider dropped incendiary bombs on the outskirts of a north-west coastal town this morning. Workmen alighted from passing buses and extinguished a number of small fires. R.A.F. fighters chased off the raider.
