LATEST ALLIED SHIPPING LOSSES TOTAL FOR WEEK UNDER WAR AVERAGE. GERMANS CLAIM MORE THAN TWICE AS MUCH. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day. 9.15 a.m.) RUGBY, November 26. There were 59.534 tons of mercantile shipping losses in British Allied and neutral shipping, due to enemy action, for the week ending November 17. This is slightly less than the weekly average for the whole war. but considerably less than the weekly average since intensified attacks began at the end of May. The total is made up ot\ 14 British ships of 50,449 tons, two Allied ships, of 7769 tons and one neutral ship of 1316 tons. The Germans claim to have sunk in the same period 131.340 tons—an exaggeration of 120 per cent.
