LONG TALK WITH KING. FOLLOWING ON INVESTITURE. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 11.50 a.m.) RUGBY, November 25. Flight-Lieutenant J. B. Nicholson, aged 23 years, a fighter-pilot, was received by the King this morning. The Victoria Cross was awarded him for bravery when, although wounded and his plane on fire, he remained in the burning aircraft and attacked and shot down an enemy fighter. Flight-Lieut. Nicholson received burns and was in hospital for some time. The King had a long talk with the airman in the private audience chamber, where the investiture took place.
