GALA DAY

WAIRARAPA INTERHOUSE ASSOCIATION BIG GATHERING IN PARK. MARCHING DISPLAY & SPORTS PROGRAMME. There is a large attendance at the Masterton Park today for the Wairarapa Interhouse Association’s gala day. The weather is beautifully fine and full use is being made of the park surroundings by picnic parties. The programme commenced with a parade of the fifteen teams which are competing, followed by the saluting of a Union Jack and the singing of the National Anthem and “God Defend New Zealand.” A sports programme is also being held this afternoon and the function will be concluded tonight .by a dance in the Municipal Hall.
