NATIONAL PARTY
CAUCUS ON MONDAY. THE LEADERSHIP QUESTION. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The leadership of the National Party in Parliament is to be discussed at a caucus of the Parliamentary members of the party on Monday, the day before the resumption of the session by the House of Representatives. Should a change be made, the name of Mr. Holland, M.P. for Christchurch North, has been mentioned as the most likely successor' to the present Leader of the Opposition. Mr. Hamilton, who has held that office for the past four years. An interesting development yesterday was an interview a delegation from the People's Movement had with Mr. Hamilton in his office in Parliament Buildings. No information was available as to what transpired at this meeting or as to the nature of the discussions, but the assumption is that they related to the welding together of the forces opposed to the present Government. Members of the delegation were seen arriving at Parliament Buildings and leaving about an hour and a half later.
