MARTHA MINE DISPUTE

TO BE REFERRED TO COURT. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WAIHI, November 18. No interruption in work at the Martha Gold Mining Company’s mine at Waihi and battery at Waikino has occurred because of a dispute that has arisen concerning holidays for engineers. A stop-work meeting was to have been held today, in which case, as the men were key men and operations could not be carried on without them, the company had decided to close for the day and reopen tomorrow if the men were ready to resume work. However, the men concerned met on Saturday and decided to continue work and refer the dispute to the Arbitration Court.
