Mrs Ball (Masterton) is a visitor to Napier. Miss Joyce Lyttle, of Masterton, is spending a holiday in Blenheim. Mrs Schultz, of Wellington, is the guest of her daughter, Mrs S. Hogg, Pahiatua. Mrs F. J. Fellingham, of Masterton, is on a visit to her daughter, Mrs M. Jago, Palmerston North. Miss Freda Cooper, of Wellington, is the guest of Mrs Norman Ninnes, Masterton. Mrs W, G. Lamb, of Masterton, has returned from Alfredton, where she was the guest of her daughter. Mrs M. Cameron, of Waipukurau, is the guest of her daughter, Mrs E. B. Watson, Pahiatua. Miss Samson, who has been on the staff of Messrs R. Hannah and Co., Masterton, for several years, was made a presentation by the manager and members of the local branch prior to her leaving for Hamilton, where she is to be married at the end of the year. The death has occurred of Mrs Eilers, wife of Mr Louis H. Eilers, of Wellington, and formerly of the Public Service. Mrs Eilers was a descendant of two well-known original Wellington Settlers. Mrs Eilers’ parents were Mr James Brown, formerly an hotel proprietor, and Mrs Annie Brown (nee Plimmer), both long since dead. She leaves a husband and two sons, Messrs A. F. Eilers. Pahiatua, and C. L. J. Eilers. Lower Hutt.
