NO FIGHTING ON BORDER OF INDO=CHINA CHARGE AGAINST FRENCH. PLANES DAILY VIOLATING FRONTIER. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) BANGKOK, November 17. Reports of fighting between Thailand and Indo-China are officially denied. The situation is unchanged, although “French planes daily violate the frontier.” ALLEGED PACT BRITISH AND AMERICAN AID. TOKIO, November 17. The “Asahi Shimbun” publishes an unconfirmed report stating that Britain and America have concluded a secret military pact with Thailand whereby they will aid Thailand to recover her lost territory and also, in the event of foreign troops attacking Thailand, Britain will dispatch Malayan and Indian troops and the United States will protect the Thailand coast with warships, the “Asahi” declares. It admits that the Foreign Office has received no official advices of the reported pact.
JAPANESE CONCERN RUMOURED AID FOR THAILAND. TOKIO, November 18. The Foreign Office spokesman said: “We are attaching great concern to the rumours of promised British and American aid for Thailand because such rumours sometimes turn out to be true.”
