PRESBYTERIAN CONFERENCE

MISSIONARY UNION. MOTIONS ADOPTED. At the Presbyterian W.M.U. conference at Palmerston North, the following recommendations were adopted:— "That the Gray gift of £2O 9s Id go to refugees of Kong Chuen Hospital Compound”; "That the Robert Strong Legacy of £5 5s go to Maori Mission Press”; “That the interest on the Missionary Manses’ Fund be paid to the Executive Treasurer yearly”; "That the Conference allow the executive to withdraw £lOO from the Missionary Manses’ Fund for use by the Missionary Committee”; “That owing to increased costs, the price of badges be raised to Is 3d.” The following nominations of representatives on the Assembly Committee were agreed to: —Mrs Cruikshank, Miss E. Campbell, Miss E. Wilson, Mesdames J. Bradstreet and Burnett. It was decided that the next meeting be held in Southland.
