CARTERTON

PLUNKET SOCIETY MONTHLY MEETING OF BRANCH. (“Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the local branch of the Plunket Society was held on Monday when there were present Mesdames Armstrong, Callender, and Trapp. Apologies for absence were received from Mesdames Wells, Dyer and Taverner. The nurse’s report for October stated inter alia:—New cases, 6; babies Breastfed. 5; artificially fed. 1. Visits to homes: Old cases, 50; new cases, 14. Visits to rooms: Adults, 100; babies, 83; older children, 20. The room on the showgrounds had been used by 57 .■.Suits and 41 babies. The sum of 13s IJd had been placed in the donation box. Correspondence from Dunedin in regard to the superannuation levy and the share of the head office expenditure was read. Accounts amounting to £47 2s 4d were passed for payment.
