NEW ZEALAND FIXTURES IN BRITAIN. MAORI TEAM IN DEMAND. (From the Official Correspondent with the New Zealand Forces in Britain). BRITAIN, November 11. Colonel King, who is at Headquar-\ •<? ters, is a prominent members of the /■ New Zealand Rugby Union. Majors Bertrand, of the Maori Battalion and Hanson (Engineers), are associated with him as selectors for the final choice of a New Zealand Army team to play Rosslyn Park on Saturday week. The team’s provisional fixtures thereafter are:—November 30, Saint Mary’s Hospital, December 4, Rosslyn Park (return match) ;December 14, Aidershot Command; December 21, West of England; December 28, Guy’s Hospital, January 11, Saint Mary’s Hospital (return match). The Maori Battalion team is being inundated with requests for matches, particularly from Wales, where Swansea is anxious to avenge its defeat of the last war. Definite fixtures have not been made.
