The dogged determination of British manufacturers to continue production in the face of war difficulties is indicated in a letter received in Auckland from a large woollen concern. “We have every confidence in our ability to pull through.” the letter states, “and the near future will prove our capacity to overcome all difficulties. The bombing raids are a bit of a nuisance, but they will not win the war f ,r Germany, We can take it and continue to smile, but there is a doubt whether they can do likewise, now that we are getting into our stride.”
