SETTLEMENT IN SIGHT
OARO RAILWAY WORKS DISPUTE. STATEMENT BY MR SEMPLE. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. “A settlement is now in sight,” said the Minister of Public Works (Mr Semple) after an hour’s discussion this morning with a deputation from the Oaro railway construction workers. “The men met me in a very fine spirit and there was no sign of hostility or antagonism at all,” Mr Semitic stated.
