YOUNG FARMERS’ CLUB SUCCESSFUL DANCE. (“Times-Age” Special.) The dance organised by the Young Farmers' Club was very well supported, considering the weather. There will be about £2O (which includes donations) available for the Patriotic Society, for whose benefit the dance was held. A Monte Carlo dance was 1 won by Miss A. Morrison and Mr S. Smith, while Miss J. Algie and Mr J. Morrison were successful in the Lucky Spot dance. Other novelty dances were streamer dances and a black-out stroll. A lamb, donated by Mr J. Shirtcliffe, was won by Mr H. Burch, and the drake given by Mrs E. Seymour was won by Mr R. W. Kebbell. During the evening Mrs W. Hood played an extra dance. The duties of M.C. were performed by Mr J. Shirtcliffe, while Mr C. Algie made a most efficient secretary. Personal. Mrs R. Hall has returned from Pihautea, where she has been staying with her daughter, Mrs L. McKenna. Big Slip on Road. The big slip on the summit came down again over the week-end and closed the road.
