PERSONAL ITEMS (“Times-Age” Special.) Mrs Morrow, Lower Hutt, is visiting her mother, Mrs Morgan. Mr and Mrs Jenkins, Wellington, are the guests of Mrs Parsons. Mrs S. Cundy returned today from an extended visit to Palmerston North. Signaller Darden Benton, third son of Mr and Mrs S. Benton, who is in hospital in England suffering from leginjuries, the result of an accident in the “black out,” is reported to be progressing favourably towards recovery. A Beauty Spot. Wairarapa people are fortunate in having another opportunity to see the beautiful garden at the residence of Mrs Chas. Elgar,' which is recognised as one of the finest and largest private gardens in New Zealand. Shrubs, trees and flowers from all parts of the world are growing there. The garden will be open to the public on Sunday, November 17.
