TAXES IN INDIA
INCOME RATE RAISED 25 PER CENT. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, at Noon). DELHI, November 5. The Minister of Finance, Sir Jeremy Raisman, introducing the supplementary Budget to the General Assembly announced a 25 per cent increase in income taxes, also increased postage, telegraph and telephone charges, yielding an additional £4,500.000 yearly.
