WAR INDUSTRY
EXPANSION OF OUTPUT IN BRITAIN MR. BEVIN’S PREDICTION. ACHIEVEMENT ANTICIPATED IN SIX MONTHS. The 8.8. C. reports that the British Minister for Labour, Mr Ernest Bevin, in an address to workers at Rugby on the importance of increased output, said that in six months Britain would have passed Germany in the production of aircraft, ships and guns. When that had been done they would move back to a time of reconstruction.
