OBITUARY
SIR PERCY SARGOOD. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, This Day. The death has occurred of Sir Percy Sargood, aged 75. He was. born in Melbourne, being a son of Senator Sir F. T. Sargood, K.C.M.G., and married in 1893 Lucy Constance, daughter of Dr. F. F. Ormond. He leaves two daughters. An only son died. Educated in Victoria and England, Sir P. Sargood entered business in 1883 with Sargood, Butler, and Nichol, Warehousemen, Melbourne. In 1891 he joined Sargood. Son and Ewen, New Zealand, and in 1907 formed the business into a limited company, becoming governing director. He undertook large irrigation works in Central Otago. His property 7 Gutside the business include the Wanaka Station (Pembroke), Taratu Coal Mine, and the Cromwell Development Company.
