ARMISTICE DAY
OBSERVANCE IN NEW ZEALAND — (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON. This Day. The Government has invited citizens and traffic-controlling authorities throughout the Dominica to co-operate in the observance of a two-minute silence at 11 a.m. on Armistice Day, Which falls next Monday. November 11. It is suggested that where a service is desired it should be held at the Ictal Cenotaph or War Memorial. Though in England the usual Armistice Day gatherings are not to be held, the Archbishop of Canterbury has invited the people, with the approval of the King, to observe Sunday next in the various places cf worship and in their hearts and homes as a day of remembrance and dedication. Yesterday the Biscp of Wellington the Rt. Rev. 11. St. Barbe Holland, said he warmly 7 endorsed the Archbishop cf Canterbury's proposals as to the observance of Armistice Day by the Church next Sunday, and said he hoped that the course suggested would be followed in his diocese.
