BOWLING
PARK CLUB CRAFTS AND KEETLEY MEDALS. RETAINED BY HOLDERS. In a game played for the Crafts medals on Saturday the holders, Ferguson, Butler. Burke and Kilgour (s), representing the Post and Telegraph Department, defeated the challengers. Frost, Drummond, Wallace and Dixon (s), representing the Soft Goods trades. This was a particularly exciting contest, and the issue was in doubt until the last head was measured. On Saturday the holders will be called upon to defend the trophies against a strong rink representing the Woodworkers. For the Keetley medals, the holders. O’Donnell and Brown (s), defeated the challengers, Cooper and Vincent (s) by a small margin. This game was noticeable for the excellent performance given by the two leads, O’Donnell and Cooper. The latter, who was making only his fourth appearance as a bowler, showed great promise. Many of his shots brought well-merited applause from the large number spectators on the bank. The next game in this competition will be between the present holders and Lee and Trevorrow (s).
