ARMY LEAVE
STOPPED THROUGHOUT TURKEY GERMANY CONCENTRATING TROOPS. AT THREE STRATEGIC POINTS. (By Telegraph-Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, November 2. A message from Ankara says that army leave has been suspended throughout Turkey. The Salonika correspondent of the “Daily Mail” says that German continues to maintain ostentatious neutrality, but is reported to be concentrating troops at three strategically important points on the frontier of Yugoslavia. The first is on the north-west border of what was formerly Austrian Carinthia. The frontier here is reported to be closed and German manoeuvres are in progress. The second ,is in the Rumanian area, in the vicity of Timisoara, and the third at Orsova in the Danube area facing Yugoslavia. The two last-named points provide a new defence problem for Yugoslavia, whose defence earlier was based on the assumption that the north-west and extreme south-east borders were most likely to be attacked.
