DAIRY FARMERS
EFFORTS FOR MAXIMUM PRODUCTION. CONFERENCE RESOLUTION. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The following motion, moved by the chairman (Mr W. E. Hale) was carried unanimously at the Dominion Dairy Conference yesterday:— Notwithstand their deep dissatisfaction, the representatives of the industry here assembled pledge- themselves to do their utmost to secure maximum production and to make the greatest contribution possible to this country's war effort, and that this resolution also be forwarded to the Prime Minister. Speakers to the motion said the dissatisfaction delegates felt at the attitude of the Minister of Marketing (Mr Nash) was not going to affect their efforts to assist in every way in the struggle in which the Empire was engaged. “Though we are not satisfied with the treatment we have had from the Minister and the Government,” said one speaker, “it will not in any way affect our determination to do our utmost to increase our production in those articles which Britain requires.”
