Training at Opaki

(BY “THE GRAFTER.'') • Training operations have been proceeding apace 'at the Opaki racecourse during the past week, with renewed activities in the near future now that many of the Trentharn competitors have returned. A number of T. R. George’s horses, it is stated, will not return to Opaki for some months, but itps reported that he will have a full string working there again by next autumn. The “permanents’’ at Opaki will be given special preparations for meetings in the province during the next few weeks, while the Riccarton candidates from Masterton are well forward and should be in the stake money. Punters should |keep their eyes steadily fixed on Opaki-trained horses for near engagements.
