PAHIATUA SALE.
LATE RATES FOR SHEEP. The Associated Auctioneers report on the Pahiatua sale as follows: A small yarding of sheep, comprising wethers and fat ewes, a medium yarding of pigs, and a large entry of dairy cattle were ofTered to a large attendance of the public. Sheep sold well at late rates, but all classes .of dairy cattle and pigs showed a slight decline in values oh last week’s realisations. Quotations: Shorn 4th wethers 21s 6d; shorn fat maiden ewes, 235; dairy heifers close to profit (good), £lO 7s 6d to £8; backward sorts, £8 to £7 2s Gd; spg cows, £lO, £9 to £7 10s; empty heifers, £4 12s 6d, £4 9s to £3 15s; empty cows, £3 Is; fat cows ex dairy, £5; yearling Jersey bulls, lOgns, 9gns, yearling Friesian bulls, £3 10s. Pigs: Porkers, £2 3s, 35s to 325; weaner pigs (good), 235, 21s, 20s, 18s; small, 15s.
